Research Programs in the Fruit Experiment Station include Alternative Fruit Crops Development, Grape Pathology or the study of grape diseases, Enology or the study of wine, Integrated Pest Management and Pomology/Viticulture, Agroforestry and Specialty Crops.
The experiment station also operates the Center for Grapevine Biotechnology to explore genetic resources and to identify health-promoting compounds in diverse grapevine species. This center also includes the Grape Importation and Certification Program .
Research results from these programs are disseminated through the commercial crops advisory program and the public education advisory program.
