Mountain Grove Student Information
The State Fruit Experiment
Station located on the
Missouri State Campus at Mountain Grove offers both graduate and undergraduate classes. Formal academic
programs in the department include the Plant Science Master Degree Program through the
College of Natural and Applied Science.
Area students can also complete an Associate Degree at
Shannon Hall
in Mountain Grove through the
West Plains
Extended Campus program.
VESTA
(Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance) Regional Center of
Excellence is a National Science Foundation funded initiative hosted by the
Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station. VESTA is a partnership of two year
schools in mid-America providing online courses leading to a certificate or
Associate of Applied Science degree in either enology or viticulture. Online
coursework is enriched with hands-on field experiences that provide students
classroom and laboratory experiences at an approved vineyard or winery in
their local area. Partner schools are currently in Illinois, Iowa, and
Oklahoma. Additional partner schools are being identified in Arkansas,
Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin. education

The Missouri
Pathways Partnership is a collaborative effort among
Missouri State
University,
Missouri State University - West
Plains, and Crowder College
creating a higher education cluster to develop and
implement a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S) in Agriculture degree
completion program.
The distance learning classrooms, are interactive videoconferencing rooms
at Faurot Hall 205 and 106. They are utilized by the State Fruit
Experiment Station and the Missouri State
Off-Campus and Interactive Video Program (Bearnet-Springfield). The
Springfield Outreach Program, offers
a Specialist in Educational Administration degree, a Masters in
Educational Administration degree, and a Masters in Elementary
